Our company was founded in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1918 and initially made soundtracks for movies. Today Ortofon specialises in the development and manufacturing of acclaimed phono cartridges, audio cables and a wide range of audio accessories, precision TPE components, technical rubber, customized coils and micro-mechanical assembly. The company complements this with a suite of innovative value added services, which cover project management and product development.
As the company has evolved from its roots in making movie sound tracks to developing precision components and unique compounds for technical rubber, one aspect of its operations has remained constant: the culture of excellence. In 2016 Ortofon obtained ISO 13485 certification with a scope: Manufacturing of components in plastic, rubber and metal for the medical device industry and manufacturing of Bone Conductors.
We plan to continue growth and will increase focus on development and manufacturing of components to the Medical and Hearing Aids industries.
For this growth we will need new employees in general and specialists particularly in:
• Precision engineering
• Micro-molding
• Quality
The Ortofon's manufacturing unit in Nakskov in the south of Denmark has experienced operators, engineers, technicians and administrative staff combined with modern machinery, so human craftsmanship is delivered with uniform industrial quality.
