Ortofon Dance Series

Superior sound of Ortofon Moving Coil cartridges

Many have asked the question: Why is the sound of a moving coil cartridge so superior to that of a traditional magnetic? The answer in one word is linearity. The patented Ortofon low-impedance, low-output design is inherently linear over the entire audible range. This, coupled with unequalled tracking ability and unique diamond profiles, combines to deliver a sound previously deemed unattainable.

The MC Tango, MC Samba, and MC Salsa are a direct result of our endeavours.

The MC Tango is the Dance series entry level cartridge with a very high performance ratio. MC Tango features an elliptical diamond, and the output is 0.5 mV.

Ortofon MC Salsa phono cartridge

The MC Salsa is a value-priced low output MC cartridge with a highly polished, nude fine line diamond.

The MC Salsa cartridge features medium mass and medium compliance and, therefore, produces excellent compatibility with most tonearms, while the nude fine line diamond resolves a high level of detail for recordings with a higher level of complexity.
