... Of course, Elliptical, as opposed to Spherical styli, is never a good idea for scratching (…) but it does track very well, certainly as well as the CLUB.

"...For lovers of the Concorde design with high audiophile standards, however, the Elite is currently the ultimate in music.
...The deep cutout makes the needle tip easy to see from above, and the gold cove allows the exact finding of the desired groove. And yes: the part simply looks very classy.

...Especially with digital vinyl systems, the software needs a stable signal to interpret the timecode. Here the Elite only shrugs its shoulders and delivers ideally at the first go.

...Another essential application for high-quality cartridges is the digitization of records, either to record them for use in Traktor, Serato, Rekordbox & Co. or to sample sounds for music production. Here I see the Concorde Elite MKII also quite far ahead.

...I've never had a more luxurious-looking cartridge in my hands (...) And the sound is first class anyway.

...a system is only as good as its weakest link. And the Concorde Elite MKII is undoubtedly not that in any scenario."

"...Without question, this system represents the absolute upper league of phono cartridge systems that have been and are being produced for the DJ market. 

...The Elite, however, simply opens the already open door a bit more. The sound is even more precise and clearer in the mids and highs. Overall, you feel that the sound flows smoothly through these frequency ranges. The overall picture of the Ortofon Concorde MKII Elite is coherent, even more than the Club, and plays quite relaxed on the level of the Ortofon 2M Red or Blue.

...the Elite's elegant design meets both hi-fi demands and DJ suitability.

...the Elite seems more dynamic than the Concorde MKII Club and is, therefore, very pleasing.

...In terms of sound, the Ortofon Concorde MKII Elite is without question convincing and plays on the same level as competitors of comparable prices in the hi-fi sector.

...I'm very resistant to giving the system back because it really does sound quite outstanding. For those who are generally prepared to spend such an amount and who, like many of us, come from the DJ sector, the system should definitely be on the shortlist."
